Hey Vick, don't downgrade your Tulip. I've got a dozen MIJ guits and my favorite for easy playing and smooth clear mellow tone is my single pup Tulip.

Yeah I'd love one of those also - too rich for my blood. Guess I'll have to be happy with my Tulip and my EP8-T...

Yea, one had thumbwheel pots & large plastic rocker switches, have u ever seen what's underneath da control plate? it's a mess!wires caps, resistors. the later one had a bunch of regular pots wit big ol' honkin' knobs & a sub-mini switch paired wit each of da pots,I had one wit a 4-2 headstock(Teisco) & one wit an elongated headstock(Kawai)like da pic of hound dog. hardly any of em' had parts marked? there was also like 4 or 5 different versions of it,one even had a strat style body, they all had slighty different headstocks on em',some short, some long, some fat. I've had da chance to do work on quite a few of em',every one I've seen has something different about it,I think they just did whatever they wanted in that factory, there was no uniformity?they must of ran out parts quite often.Funny thing about it was that it was dubbed da" Hounddog taylor" guitar but he favored a strat styled MIJ guitar wit 4 pups for most of his playing.
