Great forum idea. I'm all for louder...more power is better. I have a few reso projects on the backburner. A reso made from an aluminum clamp light and a tri cone (see Brians creation) made from tuna cans that have a surprisingly nice ring to them. I would also like to hear what anyone out there has created.

In my photo album you can see how I structured the sound well in my paint tin reso. The lid and the well, which I made from the bottom of the tin, is a tight fit against each other and the well doesn't touch the bottom of the box.

just got all the cutting and fitting done on my baby reso,only thing left to do is put on tuners and strings,will play it tonight before i sleep. i will take it back apart tomorrow to take pictures of different parts that make up the whole unit. will reassemble during picture taking process. seems like every thing i build i can take back apart easily and reassemble easily, is that just me or is there other of you guys that build that way too? just curious about that. ok i,ll write back tomorrow about the sound results i find out in a little while. keep on jammin that is what i do.

nice man sounds great.
is it flat against the box or do you have it raised up a bit.
i used to work in a foundry out in the desert making bronze prayer bells and I learned how the slightest little thing can change the way medal sounds.

no sound well just set the bowl in the box. fixin to start a six string dobeo and six string reso guitar built the same way.

just finished a reso using a 8in stainless steel dog bowl.and it is loud and sounds almost like a real reso cone.got some pics and vids on my profile.
