A soap bar style pickup may be an option for you order a kit you can probly figuir out how make it from scatch after that

Hi

I have a question concerning pickups.i have only built a couple of gbg's one with a piezo and one with a humbucker.I dont realy like the piezo sound its a bit harsh and the humbucker is too high,i dont fancy cutting a lump out of the neck and weakening it..

So how can I make a thinner humbucker to overcome the problem

William Cumpiano has a book on making guitars from scratch, including the truss rod. Here is the link to his improved truss rod. Also some nice guitars on this site.

Did a Google search and came up with this:

Best info I've seen on how these are made. Keep in mind... the threading has to be reversed on one end of the rod...

Ebay seller "Bitterroot Guitars" sells a 5-pack of truss rods for around $35.

Hello Everyone,  I was on the hunt for info on possibly fabricating a double action (two way) truss rod.  I am new to this but I believe I am fairly mechanical minded.  I am building my first CBG (24.75" scale).  Has anyone had experience or know of resources with this?
