Setting up a guitar perfectly can get pretty involved but, to keep it simple, a good starting point is to have the 'action' at the twelfth fret about double the action at the first fret. The 'action' is the height of the strings above the particular fret. First get the action at the first fret cmfirtable by adjusting the nut, then sort out the twelfth fret action by adjusting the bridge. 'Adjusting' might well involve filing or shimming.

if it's slide, it doesn't really matter, but generally, i would make the bridge slightly higher than the nut so that you don't get any buzz on the frets

a regular hacksaw blade cuts slots too wide. switch to a "junior hack saw" (4" blades or a flush cut saw ... about $ 4 and $ 9 respectively) and you won't need the glue.

I did use fret wire I got off the nation. I just used a regular hacksaw to cut the grooves, and medium fret wire.

Jonathan, if you have to use glue, your fret slots might be too wide -- assuming you used frets and not just wire. Fret slots are supposed to be real snug. ~.01" +/- . Where did you get the frets?

I use Loctite Super glue and i put glue to fret first and then i put fret to fretslot and use little small hammer.
Waiting day, then i cut with sidecutter amount in excess off, i use also file and that´s it.
