I am almost finished with my first build. I spent 41 years of my life feeling like I was completely inept in regards to working with tools. I am getting close to finishing this guy and am very thankful to this group for all of your help.

Thanks for the response everyone. I have some ideas for what I might do. I'm thinking brass washers with window screen sandwiched between the washers and the box. Thanks again.

Alan, I bought an old masher for that very reason The handke piece could be used as a bridge and the metal inbetween quite possibly a trapeze.

I am looking at using the business end of OLD POTATO MASHERS. Just take a walk through a thrift store and let your imagination run loose.

I use screen wire sometimes, to mock the look of Dobro's. many people use drain covers/grills (for both bath tubs and sinks). you can probably find them at the local hardware store.

I'm building my first CBG and had a question concerning the sound holes. I noticed that many of you dress them up with screens or grates, etc. What are some of the things you cover them with? A few look like the drain traps that are found in sinks. Am I right?
