Hi all,

I'm looking to make another license plate guitar but am having trouble finding a box the correct size to fix the plates onto.  Any suggestions?

I finally go it in tune. It helps to get the right strings. :)

I'm trying to tune to an open G (GDG). For some reason I just can't make it work for the top 2 strings. I'm guessing I have the wrong size strings (.026, .017, .013). I'm going to stop at the music store tonight after work and get the a, d, and g strings that Keni Lee Burgess recomends and see if that works better.

Pretty build Devin!  What trouble are you having with getting it in tune?

I finished my first CBG. It has a few problems and I'm having a devil of a time getting it in tune and I still need to learn how to play. But, I'm hooked and planning on the second build. BTW, does anyone out there play a jazz CBG? Might be kinda interesting.

What a great site! thanks.
Started getting stuff together for my first CBG last week, waiting on a padron box off ebay, menawhile a freind hooked up with about 30 - 40 ft,. of 1" by about 2.5" mahogany today. Planning on a 3 string fretless w/ piezo, but the more I read the more I'm inclined to try a homemade pickup...Guess I better slow down and get one at least planned first.

The yellow submarine is a ukulele with nylon strings and a piezo pickup.  I'm unsure how it will sound plugged in but I am sure that my soon to be four year old will want to plug in.
