I have a bass on the drawing board, time and coin as I get it, will determine the finish date. I need to do allot of homework first.

I have just added a starter project as a discussion on the Musicians Wanted group.

The project contains only a metronome count-in plus a simple timekeeping drum track for a slow blues.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, start your engines!"

OK! Looks like Norm took the reins and started a discussion in his Musicians Wanted group. My idea was a stand alone group and a self explanatory name but GET TO WORK and get some collaborations going!!!

Ted, I've got Audacity. I used it on my last cd on one track. It's great, though I'm still figuring it out! Ah, the ongoing process. Oh well, back to the lab...

Ted, I'm up for the "collaboration" group -- I did a little similar stuff on http://kompoz.com/ a while back.

Audacity is my preferred recording tool, too!

Henry, we actually tried this a few months back. I think it was Christian Beshore & Denys Lord who did the first experiments. I believe Christian recorded a track in Audacity, posted it in a Forum discussion and Denys downloaded it, opened it in Audacity, added his track and posted it back in the discussion.

Audacity is a free download, compatible with Mac, Windows and Linux and is full featured. It can be downloaded here.
