nice and clean looking, how does she sound?
nylon tapewound work great. easy on the neck, easy on the fingers, waaay better tone and sustain than weedwhackers.
mine was not scrap but it's a 3/4 scale. it sounds better than basses that are waaaay out of my price range.
you can either do "standard bass tuning" E-A-D, A-D-G ..depending on the strings that you used, or you could also do an open tuning such as D-A-d, G-D-g again, depending on the strings that you used. The decision depends on your intended usage. If you're going to be play bass lines as part of a band, then standard tuning probably makes good sense. If you're going to be play chords and melodies then an open tuning could be the way to go.
Try both....
i need a three string tuning for my bass...
Just posted a short scale. sounds great. maple, tigerwood, box filled, through neck.
Ryan, nice one...any info on your position markers?
