Just found this group.   I hope you will admit a sinner who is saved by the grace of Jesus.

What led me here.   Jim Cissell had  a recent photo of a guitar that seemed to be named Psalm 66,   I went to look that up:  Oh sing unto the Lord a new song.   Sing unto the Lord, all the earth.  

Plus I learned something new to me.   When my wife knew I was looking for Psalms, she said, "Open the bible to the very middle."  I did and there was Psalms.

I hope the Lord forgives or even enjoys me playing some blues.  I play some Gospel too.

Dear Friends,

My favorite Christmas story (not in the Bible) revolves around my then 4 year old daughter.  We had given her the "Sears Christmas Catalogue" and had asked her to look it over for things she might like.  After a hour of intense perusal, she handed it back to me with the words..."It will do."  Funny in the mouth of a child. She wanted it all.

It seems to me that part of growing up is learning that life is not all about us, that we can't have it all and an appreciation of the cost of what we do have.  In this wonderful time of year, I am more and more hoping that the least among us can find joy in what they have and that the most prosperous find increased joy in helping fulfill the needs of the needy.

For all those who read this, both Christian and those of other faiths...or no faith at all,

My wise of you is at the heart of the Christmas message, "Peace on Earth and Good Will among all people."

Well, here we are...

 

Easter!  Christ is risen, indeed!  He worked the miracle of salvation by becoming the ultimate servant.  It is up to us to accept his gift and to be transformed, becoming servants of others in his name.

 

May all my co-journey'rs on the Nation know and embrace the peace that this day offers to all.

Blessings on this Christmas Day!

 

I have seen so many Christmas Days come and go.  Each on is like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates... you never know what you're getting.  All too often, I was spent from too much Christmas Eve and just crashed for the day.  Sometimes Christmas would fall on Sunday and I would be in church leading a congregation.

 

I have learned this much.  Christmas can be what you make of it.  It can be partying, family, rest and many other things.  For me, it's a very personal time with God.  God became most approachable in the Christ Child.  No matter what, I encourage you to spend a little time at the manger, looking on the face of your savior.  Do this, and whatever else is on your agenda, you will have a ..............Merry Christmas!!!!
