In a world that seems to have gone mad... maybe we should pray even more determinedly.  In the face of terror, we should nurture our faith even more.

God, give us courage to work for peace and fight for justice.  Please protect those who stand between us and those who would do us harm.  And, grant all the world leaders wisdom to best handle the turmoil of the current situation.  Amen.

Wow! I've been called to jury duty.  I'm to show up next week.  I've been thinking a lot about Justice vs. Mercy.  As a follower of Christ, I'm committed to Mercy.  As a citizen and potential juror, I'm a servant to Justice.

This represents a common problem for Christians living in a fallen world.  How to balance the commitments that we have and still "keep the faith"?

Any thoughts?

Wednesday is the first day of Fall.  The calendar marks a transition between seasons.  Have you had any transition recently that your faith helped you with.?

Hip Bone,

For the summer, I set up a lawn mowing gig.  Solo act, a couple Craig's list ads and more business than I can handle or want.  Glad is starting to wind down. 

About your upcoming event...May God's healing mercy be known  to all and may you be used as a vessel of His amazing grace...

Sam  what business do you have going.. Also on Oct 3 and 4th I am hosting a weekend event for Healing. I am the Director for The Ministry of Healing at our church and Sat Oct 3 we have a soaking service... just hang with God, Sunday Morning I'll be preaching for the first time at our home church of 5 years and Sunday night we have a guest Speaker to Celebrate what Jesus did for us and the Healing we received... Last month I fell and broke my wrist so I would love to be 100% healed by this weekend.. Keep us in prayer... Thanks

Greetings to all Chapel members,

I feel a little like the bumper sticker ...

"My Dogma Just Got Run Over By My Karma"

Although I am the nominal "chaplain" for our group, I have been absent for quite a while.  Life's demands almost swallowed me up.  Between helping family and getting a part time (50 hours/week is part time?) business going, I haven't been as diligent about caring for my spirit and soul as I should.  I have felt this in my relationships, my closeness to God and my general sense of wellbeing.

I want to join you here at least once a week.  If anyone has any positive contribution from their faith perspective, please share it.  If you have a need that we can support with prayer, share that too.
