Yep "I" am still around... doing a bit on another musical instrument makers forum! I needed help with my cigar box hurdy gurdy and I got 'sucked in". They are a nice group but love the "Rules".

Making a video on Didgeridoos and two still photography projects. One on the "Sculptures by the Sea" at Bondi.

So.... busy, busy, busy!!!

Oh and being a little scientific for a change the magnets are probably quite strong so fel free o mount them in the body as if they are too close to the strings there may be a slight dampening effect.....good luck.

Hey John,

These pickups will absolutely rock a CBG.
Better yet you got two pickups there so two CBGs can have the power of bass.
If you mount them near to the bridge the tone should be amazingly warm mate. Four pole pieces are just begging to be 4 stringer CBGS. Good luck and looking forward to the pics..

Can any one please tell me if bass pickups such as these photographed are suitable for use on a four string CBG, or are they somehow specific to bass strings?

im currently finishing a bass banjo made from an old cut down tom tom
pine neck and fretboard pizza tray back and 3 whipper snipper strings of 2 different thcknesses and a maple bridge plenty of volume for accoustic jamming will post pics soon will do the sound bit when i figure out how
