F hole placement?

I think it only matters if you want the instrument to remain acoustic. In my opinion, when it's electric, the f holes help contribute to feedback more than anything. . .

Need advice on dowel/broom handle necks

I use oak, redgum and jarrah dowels and find that one dowell will hold 3 strings okay. I bolt them together and treat them like one piece of wood as I do the fret markers etc. I leave them bolted tog…

Paul, you have made some very nice CBGs. I love the jukebox one; it is beautiful. All of them are beautiful. You are very talented and have great ideas. Very nice job.
Penny said you used metal clothes hangers for fret wires. Can you give me some tips on using them? I am working on my first tin CBG. I am using the metal coat hangers for fret wire. I have already cut them up, but now need to file them to shorten for the slots on the neck. I would appreciate it very much if you could give me some advice. Thanks.
