I'm in the process of building my first 3 string. It has an under bridge pickup. I want to tune to GDG as that seems to be the most common for the sound I'm after. I have bought a set of aucaustic steel guitar strings but not sure which of the 6 to put on my guitar. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are a lot of options but for a typical scale length of 24 to 25.5 inches the 3, 4, and 5 strings are probably the most commonly used. Good luck with your build!

which strings do you use? electric strings or acoustic strings?

CB Gitty has a good info page on which strings to use for GDG tuning with sound clips.
