Is there such an event? If not, why not!

A few of us here on the nation have made contact and are talking about a local gathering. An event to show our boxes, talk about them on every level and all that relates. I've seen related to this going on around or near my area, if there is I'd like information please.

It wouldn't take much to get it started, however if it turned into something big, I'm sure there's enough talent to step up to the plate and organize an event near St. Louis, at a local Deli, club or coffee house needing a few hour of interesting excitement.

If you have ideas or interest, post them here and lets see what develops.

Are there any techies out there that could set up Skype for the fest? I thought it would be awesome to share our fest with all our friends across the globe. Something like internet conference or live chat? We'd need a good portable link and camera to feed the signal. I don't don't know yet, maybe our host has a better source through media coverage, just an idea. Thought it would be cool to jam globally simultaneously say with someone in Germany or where ever!

You might be better off with something like UStream or one of the other live streaming places. All you need is a camera, microphone, computer/laptop and a fairly fast internet connection.

You just post a link to the streaming show, and anyone can log onto the site and watch it.

Thank you Dan, I look in to that and try a test run of it. Any other ideas like this one, please contact me or Gary Herget.

Here a sample of the T-shirt art and what's to come.

I'm size large buddy get me hand full flyers or a way to print them ill put some around my area

Sounds good. These are just the test templates and we've given our thumbs up to the design so things are moving forward. Takes a little time getting her all together so hang in there we'll keep you updated with each development.

Thanks

Looking forward to finding more out.

What time the fest kicking off

Good question Mr. C, and one we should have the answer to by the end of the week. Most likely it will be normal business hours for 61roadhouse. We're having a meeting this week covering details and should provide us all a clearer picture of the event.

Thanks!

looks like a lot of fun. hope I can participate.

Hi all,

Had a great meeting with 61roadhouse & Kitchen. Bill has really stepped up there and not only met our expectations but so far has exceeded them greatly. What a great host for our first annual St. Louis MO. cigar box festival.

Here it is; Venders will set up June 8, @ 09:00am All venders are to contact me through this site and I will set up everything and discuss basic responsibilities required. 10x10 canopy provided by Miller Brewers will be available FCFS at a cost of 15 an additional 10 for electric hookup. A food and drink discount arm band provided for all venders only.(nice)

The festival will kick off at noon with open mic for about an hour. Then hired musicians will play a few sets and open mic will resume till 06:00pm end of festival.

T-shirts will come in standard sizes s m lrg xl xxl they're 15. all proceeds go for prize giveaways.

Posters and T-shirts will be available in aprox two weeks, just waiting on the selected band names to be listed there on.

We will have a three category contest with three prizes given to each category 1st 2nd and 3rd.

Additionally there will be a grand prize for over all in all categories.

Wait, there will be raffled tickets sold for additional prizes!

Wait, we will have a group cigar box build kit for those newbies for 20, build them on site and group song before leaving.

If you plan on Vending remember to get with me or Gary Herget and I will set it up through Bill at 61roadhouse, this my assignment.

Volunteers are welcome, again, contact me!

We have several great prizes donated by sponsors and are looking for more, here is a chance to get your name out there.

All CBG related including guitars are needed, don't be shy step up!

Radio broadcast will be on site and live streaming worldwide.

The momentum is picking up and this is going to be huge people!

This is all for you guys, I hope to see you there :)
