Sometimes I think I get a little carried away in the bracing department. But I figure the more solid the box is the less string vibration will be lost, resulting in more sustain.http://bscbg.com/

Just an opinion,others may have different experiences,but i've found that any top that clearly compresses under load will be helped enormously by simply adding a light bracing under the bridge area.If you picture it,a bowed top is already pre loaded downwards,and has little capacity to move upward

Bracing on a dog bowl reso (no through neck) and a fan strutted flat sound board ( 6x6 strip )

I also brace the corners.  That's as far as I take it.  The boxes I use are of light construction
