It looks fairly solid and the bracing wouldn't hurt, try it and see '-)

Seen them in concert 23 times since 1971 in high school and already have tix purchased for April 2016 concert

Hate to not keep the contents together but cant pass up a unique build

Only seen them once. Back in the day, there would have been a big hoohaa over the likes of Jethro Tull or Yes or Uriah Heep, but bands from let's say 'our era' seem to sneak in to Australia on the quiet now. I'm a prog rock fan and we seem to miss out period - a sign of the times I suppose.

Back to the box, as Jim said just 'beef it up' I see no issues with using it as a CBG with correct bracing. I brace the timber ones a little as well - best to be on the safe side as far as I'm concerned *shrug*

Oh and don't forget the neck is going to have to be something special as well - have to go the whole hog ;-)

Cool box. I played flute in HS marching band which wasn't cool till Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull hit! This is a cardboard card box I used for a uke. Soundpost under the bridge for support. I think I'd beef the box up a bit more for full length steel strings but nylon uke strings worked well with the 3 or so cardboard boxes I've used.
