I've been looking for something that fits that exact description for a while. Here is my latest attempt. This took roughly 10 min to make and works like a charm.

great!!I thought of something like this a while ago but never got round to actually trying it...wasn't sure it would all stay in place, but with the bits of bone quite long that looks good : -)
I have thought about doing something similar using dice and set screws.
That would allow for string height adjustment also.

Matt
NICE! Great inspiration for new ideas.

Dice?!?!? Too much of a gamble [ pun intended ;-) ]

This is what I love about you guys. Every time I start thinking that I've got it all figured out, someone comes up with something genius like this that completely knocks me on my ass. Bravo to you, sir.
I'm new to CBG's , but old to guitars . Seen "lots" . but you have "no" metal/springs/screws/,.. Simple design . Four pieces of "natural" materials and you have just re-invented the "floating" bridge !!! Josh Gayou of Smoke House Guitars , said it best ,.. "Genius" .
Thanks guys/gals!
Got to say tho, this is the product of a LOT of time thinking on the idea and many failed ideas came before it..lol
Nice work! I'm sort of curious about that EMG pickup. Man, I bet that thing screams. How is the feedback control?
The EMG is perfect for a CBG if you dont mind the "modern-ness".
No noise or feedback, and go listen to the video for the tone.

BRILLIANT!!! :-)
BTW...
The "fit" of all the pieces is the important part.

1) The track keeps anything from moving when you strum
2) The saddles have to be long for a couple reasons
a) for plenty of surface area touching on the sides when you slide them front and back. (for stability)
b) to have plenty of contact with the soundboard to transfer sound
3) There needs to be a pretty good slant on the saddle tops so that the string track isnt too big causing hangups when tunning
