Comment by David Morse on July 25, 2014 at 4:21am: Nah I don't think you sound like a know it all. The minuet i think i know it all is probably the time to hang it up. I have some experience with finish especially poly. I've been in the bowling industry for the better part of 20 years and have always pulled my own finish on the lanes and approaches. I use a hand applicator pad that is used to re coat pin decks and makes the finish ultra smooth...220 grit then a 600 grit between coats...thanks for the info I will check out the spray on sounds like a cool product...I'm always on the look out for new stuff.

Comment by Jb Wo on July 25, 2014 at 3:13am: Don't want to sound like a know-it-all, but I was using a wipe on poly and just found about Tru-Oil on this site. It gave a really nice finish on my ukulele. Don't think I will go back. It comes in spray and wipe on.
