Here's some charts I put together for Gdg and DAd open tunings.  The charts give the power chord (which can be used for either a Major or minor chord) and the Major, minor and dominant 7 chords, minus the 3rd.  The chords may not sound "complete" without the 3rd, but you should still be able to have a lot of fun with these - and you'll still create a good sound.

About a minute ago...  Man talk about good timing!  Hope they work out for you.
Thanks Michael, a great help.

This is another great site for the 3 string in open tuning. http://www.docstoc.com/docs/4872928/THE-OLD-GREEK-BOUZOUKI-CHORD-CH...

Man that's a nice chart.  Very detailed.

Thanks, you are a huge help!

If you wanna have some fun with these charts, try playing each note individually from low to high, and go from a power chord (Gdg, for example) to a Major 7 (Gdf#) to a dom/minor 7 (Gdf).  It'll give you a nice little "ballad style" effect.  You could also go one more to Gde which would be a 1-5-6 if you wanted.

There aren't a ton of songs that use this progression, but one that comes to mind off the top of my head is "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head," which starts out G - GMaj7 - G7 (which is another way of writing G dominant 7).  It's a pretty unique sounding progression and lots of fun to mess around with.

I have a quick question about reading these.  If there is an open circle, does that mean to play the string as an open string or to mute the string?
Play it open.

That is fantastic - there is another chart kickinga round here that has a lot fewer chords and is confusing for newbies like me.

I *knew* there had to be more chords hidden on that stick - your Gdg chart is just what I was looking for and will unlock a whole new set of options/songs for me.

Thanks

Simple and to the point, just like a cbg. Thanks Michael. I have been using the straight bar, now i can add in the 7th's , who knew.

Nice one mate, this is just what I've been looking for since I recently fell in love with CBG's. Just gotta somehow transpose my limited knowledge of playing the ukulele into the CBG I'm making. Oh dear, what have I done? Thanks again.
