That photo isnt Robert Johnson!....Its been a debate but its false, that foundation tryed to sell it on ebay!

Here is some footage that looks more like him

but still you never know??? that photo could be him...but looks nothing like him

John,

After seeing the pictures side by side. I would have to agree. I paint and draw portraits and although there are similarities- there are obvious differences. In the original photo: 

1. Robert appears to have a much higher hair line

2. Robert has a slightly smaller left eye

 

It sure is interesting though- It was also mentioned somewhere that it could be a half brother which would explain the resemblence.

yeah it tempting to say thats him....but have you or I or anyone on here ever taken a photo and it so not look anything like you that there is a debate whether its even you in the photo after you took it????

that photo was given to a bunch of scholars to decifer... so a scientist has to use a computer to say "o yeah, thats you, the computer program says so"

....come on!!!!..Thats the red flag...either its you or not

But the question is how did Johnny shines get so light skinned????

 

i did the reverse and went and looked up the other guy...in all of his photos he is a real dark man, but this photo has a light skinned kid?????

its tempting to ay it him, but i think its a finacial motive for the owners of the photo to say its him.a 40 dollar ebay photo now for almost 800,000 gran???

I think it's him....lazy eye helps to prove it (for me). No one will know for sure though. As for Shines looking lighter skinned...could have been the lighting. Or maybe over time he did the opposite of Michael Jackson.....got darker with age! Also, I think I've read that the original ebay auction fetched $2k for the photo...a big gamble (I guess not for everyone) on a vintage photo of two unknowns...

 

Makes for good discussion though!!!

yeah it could totally be him...you never know...just think thought...some nobody might be smiling in his grave thinking everyones fighting and spending all this time over a photo of some total nobody!

 

whelp, off to sell my *magic carpet* on ebay....I think its just like the ones that fly!.. bidding starts at 40 bucks.
