A fanned fretted neck is for multi scale length to achieve  darker toned high strings and brighter toned low strings for a more balanced toned guitar. Setting the bridge/saddles for the correct intonation for those is something I haven't dealt with nor wish to deal with. ;)

Putting the bridge at an angle helps to get the intonation right from nut to bridge for every string. If the bridge is straight, then the higher frets will not be accurate for the designated notes.

i think the fanned frets are basically doing the same thing as placing the bridge at an angle. ?

Pentatonic fret spacing(a variance of Diatonic spacing) will work with any scale length.

Scale length choice is entirely up to you and your playing preference. Example: want more harmonics - 25.5" scale.....want a warmer tone and strings that do bends better - 24.75" scale....want a compromise - 25" scale.

Hi, like other scale lengths I would imagine you use a scale that suits the guitar size, feel or sound and use a pentatonic fret spacing. Like chickenbone John, I dunno.

What's a pentatonic scale neck? That's a new one on me and I'm intrigued!
