Hello,

I spend too many hours searching on www.ebay.com, but being a flea market fan, I am addicted to this virtual marketplace. I have found many wonderful instruments over the years, but even though, I am not buying like I would in the past, I still enjoy the hunt.
So, I thought I would post active auction of item that might interest my friends.
Unfortunately, I cannot remove the posts, so please start with the most current post to view current auction items.
Considering many of you have gained good building skills from making CBGs, refurbishing vintage instruments could be a very lucrative next step.

Please feel free to add a link if you want to share. Enjoy, Keni Lee

Teisco's top of the line model from 1967. Wood body, ebony fretboard. Split pickups sent out in stereo, each coil has a switch for left/right/mono. Wood body with German curves. Here's what it can sound like:

Ever since Eddie was seen with one of these, the price for a Spectrum 5 skyrocketed...

Thanks for sharing Shane. 1960s? Very progressive. Interesting tuner arrangement. Staggered split pick-ups! Switches to control pick-ups? Reso-glass body? I could see this being a rare bird to find. Enjoy.
Makes me wonder if he used this guitar on the recording or just as a visual prop for the video. Regardless, this is always the way. Just like Jimmy Page's Danelectro. It was a low end affordable instrument until... But your dream guitar is definitely a machine of many options. Very cool. I'll keep my eyes open.
Enjoy.

Keni - what do you think of this SS- maxwell resonator on eBay? Do you know much about them? I'm learning to play 4-string CBG with the help of your cd, but I'm shopping around for a 6-string res. I'm a little worried about buying a 1930's guitar, but this one looks interesting. WHat do you think?
Thank you Mike Izzo for your question. I will write to you privately. Enjoy.
good project...it may be a Oscar Schmidt made parlor:

how about this keni - handmade lute guitar dating from circa 1910-20. hoping to restore as good as i can

Thank you Noisemaker for your comment. I am pretty sure it is not OS. The neck is a dead give away for me. Regardless, she does need a lot work, but if won cheap, she would make an excellent learning project and eventually a sweet little vintage instrument. Enjoy.
Thank you c#merle for sharing. Very nice. A real rewarding project. You are going to have to learn Scarborough Fair on this one. Fantastic if you are into the Renaissance period. Enjoy.
