Hi Richard.Getting stuck into my second build.Your string attachment setup inspired me.I had some old bass guitar saddles layin around. I glued a wood block to the tail of my half round thru da box.Drilled some holes and set the saddles in vertically. They poke up thru lid box and have the hole set low for the string to go thru. Next time I will use thinner diameter saddles as it was touch and go drilling bigger holes in narrow tail section.cheers. Jonno

I cut the bridge out of oak, drilled the holes, added the eyelets and painted it gold. The neck is cut out to accommodate it. The tension from the strings holds it in place. As a precaution, however, I screwed it from the bottom of the neck. The line is for reference. It marks the 25 inch position of the guitar's scale. A picture is worth a thousand words.
