Nice work Tracy, all done with a scroll saw? I'm guessing that you rubbed pencil on the back of the paper and traced over it onto the masking tape?

Brett
Just do a google image search for "f-hole" and pick your favorite design.

Save the image, and print at different sizes till you get the scale you want.

I used spray mount to put one of my prints on poster board, then cut out the hole shape with an exacto making a somewhat durable stencil that could be used multiple times.

You could get fancy and use wood, plastic or metal for a more permanent stencil.
Not exactly. After I printed the template, I cut the design out with an xacto knife allowing the design to fall free and discarded it. What I had left was the paper where the design once was. Make sence? I applied masking tape to the ply I was using for the soundboard, layed the paper on the tape, lined it up, then using a sharpie I filled the design back in. The masking tape also prevented tear out of the plywood fibers. Oh yes all on the scroll saw

I print mine and stick it to the wood with spray on adhesive. Works well.

I know that works well, but I havent had any spray adhesive to use. This way atleast the template is reusable. Not that I would want to cut that shark out again though

I created a bunch of sound hole templates and put the images here:

I like to think outside the box. lol . How about these?

Really Cool ! templates, and I was wondering....how much difference does it make where you place you soundhole? and what about it being on the top side of the CBG?
Here's another soundhole style, and I made a few different sizes. Hope this helps.
