Thanks for answering wayfinder. Your answer is what i expected. Built 2 CBG so far, a "normal" one and a cat bowl resonator. The normal one sound like a guitar and is quite loud. I play it without amp. Lucky me, seems the box is fantastic for CBGs. The other is more like a Banjo or Dobro. But it needs to be amplified.
About the licencse plate, i will go to built the box by myself out of old timber from pallets, because its a 83 truck plate from Wyoming with some scratches + ding and dongs. Try to keep the used look .....
Will play around with piezos and mags as you mentioned. Good tip!!

This was an LPG of sorts. Actually a wall tin instead of a license plate, but check out the link to hear the sound that came from it. The metal plate will definately give you a diffeent sound.

Build a box to fit your plate and go from there. You won't be dissapointed.

This is how i will go. All my CBG are sliders, because i like the sound and to play slide. I know that there is no limitation, but however, whats your opinion: what kind of build is favourable for what style of playing?
If i take a guitar first time, then always a certain style of music comes out of me. If it sounds soft - Blues pick is the one, is it more harsh and twangy - Rag is the sound that i like to play.

I'm finding the same sort of thing. Each CGB I've made has had a diffferent sound and I try and learn songs that fit that guitar's sound.
