We had an excellent turn out this weekend here at hwy61roadhouse. Several new builds from cello's to ukuleles. Wonderful duet with homemade instruments by our youngest members and probably most talented musicians. I had fun jamming on the harp to some sort musical tune without structure/fun.

We announced the diddley bow builders contest for August club meeting. For those members that might not be able to physically attend, we will accept entry by video. We hope all will attend and join in the fun. We will post more detailed information regarding the contest asap!

It was a great meeting! We really enjoyed it and Rat was nice enough to give some helpful advice on playing techniques. I will post some pics when I can.

Had a great time, finally got to join in playing, someone played the only song I know. Nice to see new people joining us, Jerry and Dave were really nice guys.

Diddley Bow Contest

The contest will consist of two categories.

Lap style & guitar style

Both categories will have a 1^st place and runner up.

The entry’s must be presented on or before the next club house meeting August 22.

Prizes will be things like a T-shirt, roadhouse Gift card, Delta grooves guitar neck and whatever else we can find stuffed up in the closet.

Definitely had a blast are our get together. Great seeing everyone there. Looking forward to seeing everyone's diddley bow builds. Going to try to get some time to build something myself.

Yep...loved that movie as a kid.  That and the Paul Newman film called "The Verdict."

It's all good! We will certainly try and post some good pics of contestants and prizes won!

Still plenty of time to get that diddley built before August 22nd. If you got one built, post it anyway and let us see what you came up with!
