I found a reference to TuxGuitar tab software here on the forum. I went over to their web site and noticed than postings stopped mid-2012. I also noticed that there is no way to post on the "Help" forum. Is this site dead or inactive? Is the software still worth trying? I saw that it only went down to four strings in the tab display, but a three-string tab from another software pack could be imported and used.

Any suggestions for tab software that does not have a steep learning curve?

Thanks

No steep learning curve, intuitive graphic user interface, fully customisable, write tab anywhere (even when you are away from your computer or iPhone), low cost entry-level hardware...

And for only $4.99, it offers in-App purchases, including:

Variable font sizes and styles
Colors
Sharpener
Instant scale changes
Autotune

Yes, the PAP-App will make you a better guitarist, songwriter and attractive to women. It will not, however, cure dandruff.

Is PAP-App compatible with all paper formats, or will I need a patch to work with ISO A4 instead of North American  legal pad size?

It works across all cellulose-based platforms. Look for future product updates that allow for real-time playback and monitoring, plus a portable Erase function, and a revised Wastebasket.

I personally like the minimal battery drain and the transform mode that let's you send the score gliding through the air.

Note: In the advanced Japanese language transform mode the score can be formed into a multitude of 3D shapes.

Progression is good, works for 3 string.  https://shop.presonus.com/products/progressionn/Progression-3. I use the ipad version which is way cheaper.

Tabledit is good too but not so easy to figure out if you're not reading the dots as well.

TuxGuitar still appears to be working though.

Thanks Patrick. I see it is a windows 7~8 app. I'll check it out some more and see if it will work for me.

Submit and Download , so you can try .

Best Regards

Thanks Antonio.

I watched the vid to see what was new. Overall, it looks good, but I still could not find a way to spread the horizontal lines of the staff so that the note numbers in the tab did not over write one another when the text size was increased enough to be readable when printed.

I'll download and give it a try.

Thanks for the information.

Buona giornata

Thanks Tom

if you can, give me a feedback when you try it.

Buon proseguimento !!
