St. Louis MO. CBG Club/Workshop

We are organizing a CBG workshop held one Saturday a month at the 61 roadhouse & kitchen in Webster Groves MO. (St. Louis Area). This is also the home to the St. Louis CBG festival each year.

Bill Kunz of 61 has been generous in offering us a place to meet, practice, discussed ideas and what ever members decide to do with the time. Gary Herget and myself are contacts for this club and are open to ideas to make this a fun club. As soon as we have commitment from members, we can set up a Saturday each month to meet mornings. We haven't set a day or start time as of yet. We need to know who can commit at least to a start up and discuss as a group when and how we want to run this. Possibilities are great!

Since I live in Florida It will be hard to make it this Saturday..I am starting to work on my 2015 schedule and that includes visiting a lot of Cigar Box Makers and Players throughout the World since I have been asked to do a documentary on CGB's...I will keep you posted...Thanks... Steve

Steve we have the 3rd St. Louis Cigar Box Guitar Fest scheduled for the 6th of June 2015. The first two fest were great successes even in the rain last year. We've had 12-15 vendors attend selling their guits and accessories. Justin Johnson has been the premier performer at the first two fest and hope to have him back again. Would love to see you here and maybe we could have you and Justin perform together.

Well we had a great time at the CBG meet this month. Had a good crowd and did some Christmas jamming, and I'm sure there is a crazy video or two on the way. Made presentations to Bill and his wife Linda for all their generosity. Lets keep this rolling into the new year.

I've gotta say, I've had some great times at the club, but today was definitely one of the best...I'm not one of those Christmas cheer types, but you all put me in the best Christmasy mood. Rat, you really missed out. Bill and Linda are the great people and I got a Kazoo, a anti-music snob hat and a handmade resonator cone from Gary. I also got to jam with my favorite people. Can't wait to see you all next month!
