My thoughts and opinions as I drink my second PBR with spicy hot V8 juice.   PBR and spicy hot V8 juice.  Cheap and good.  Like CBGs.

I see a decline in the numbers of videos and photos posted on CBN.   Is interest decreasing?

I have a shit-load of opinions on this, but right now, I want to hear what you think.  What is the state of the CBG world and where is it going?

mmmm, I think it's impossible to know if interest is waning. If people are posting less it could be because they've lost interest, or equally it could be that they are busy, building/playing/performing in the real world.

Personally I haven't at all lost interest in the CBG world, but just don't have time for everything.I look on here and post on here when I have time (which isn't often atm!)

Are we going to hear your opinion John after a few more of those weird drinks??

I can make up for the shortfall if you like ?

LOL, Be.   Good to hear from you.   You folks have reassured me that the movement is alive and well and taking a lot of alternate routes.

I'm torn on this. On the one hand I LOVE building things that are part art, part instrument, and I like the fact that a lot of people think it's kinda oddball and stoner....a niche if you will. If everybody had one I probably wouldn't bother. I haven't sold a single one - not that I really want to - but I've met tons of people who are (briefly) fascinated and want to talk about them, hear them and play them. I take a git to school every single day and play for my kids - they love it - but I doubt whether any of them will buy, build or play one....that's probably because I have difficulty playing My Dog Has Fleas without screwing it up.
On the other hand, I WOULD like CBGs to be more mainstream because they just sound so good and having (generally) fewer strings and simpler chord patterns might get more people want to play an instrument. Six strings are SCARY to many people just because it takes so long to learn how to play a simple tune. On a 3 or 4 string CBG I can teach 12 bar blues to bored teenagers in an hour or less.
As for marketing.....personally I don't want to see CBG kits at the dollar store. But there is a HUGE market out there just waiting to be tapped. One of you need to make a gold-plated git and give it to Denis Rodman. Next time he visits his buddy with the Salvador Dali haircut 6 squillion people will be forced to buy one :-/
Haven't you been listening Marcus? you can't make a Korea out of this! :-)

Yup.

Chick Korea did ;-)
Richey: check out the move on the weird haircut that Dear Leader has......EVERYONE has to have one now....so my thinking is that if Kim Jong Il was seen in cussing-distance of a CBG the whole damn god-forsaken nation would get one. Even better, make 'em outta beef jerky! At least the poor buggers would have some thing to eat........

Yeah I gotcha mate. I just shudder at the thought - a disturbing turn of events for the CBG community :-0

That's quite funny...

Get off my yard, Clock and take that frickin wolf with you.  Take Bug too.
