I tried looking him up here. I originally seen this particular guitar on E Bay. His feedback was all good but who know there? Great advice and I am leaning that way if no one here has even heard of him or knows the quality of his products!

Nothing ventured nothing gained. We all get our start by someone taking a risk and buying from someone they just found and their work spoke to them. If it works fine if it sucks you know were not to go. You might think to yourself I could do better and bam your selling to someone asking " is this guy any good"

I agree 100% bro! However, I am not in the greatest financial situation right now. Yea this guitar in style spoke to me, in fact it SCREAMS "me"! LOL My reason to buy one right now is because I just started to play/build them. I want something that is kind of a "standard" as to how they should play and be set up. To do this, even at $90.00 shipped is a great deal for me to spend right now. So I guess I am trying to avoid the getting the "I know where not to go" lesson!

Hell, if anyone on here has on to sell at or around that price I would be more than happy to look at it!

i never did hear back from that dude! I will take it as a sign. However I got a bunch of cool stuff to build with today. Maybe I will be that guy someone is asking about, but until then, I build for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing about building for yourself, is that you need to be excited about what you've just done and the next one too. If you are a builder who plays, then you can hang in long enough to get enough builder's chops to produce really musical instruments....

But, if you are a player who thinks that CBGs are cool, unless you get dumb lucky on your earliest builds, they will not be musical enough to keep your interest. You then either go shopping or (most likely) sour on the whole CBG experience.

By all means build, but if you decide to buy, buy from someone who has builder's credentials (over 50 builds minimum and a clientele of players). The worst thing is for a player who is frustrated with his builds to do is to buy from someone early in their learning/building experience.

And, by all means, get to one of the major CBG gatherings this year where you can handle/play good quality CBGs and talk to people who know what it takes to put a great sounding CBG together.

Oh, trust me my friend. I am excited about more than just the build in front of me and the one after that!!!!!!!! My first is about 50% there already, as far as getting what I want. I know where I went "wrong" so to speak and now # 2 will be 50% better.

I love music, and I love to create things. The CBG (dare I say hobby) is just a no brainer to me, Why I waited so long is beyond me.

To keep it short, it's going to take more than a few bad builds and an absent minded seller to "sour" it for me!!!!!!!!
