I know what you mean by a different animal. I'm still having a hard time giving up standard tuning. Even on three strings.

Blue Rat, I'm trying to memorize the neck's pentatonic scales (fret patterns), rather than note for note, if that makes any sense. Mines a 4 string because I do finger style and I wouldn't want one of my fingers to feel left out LOL

I love Shanes videos, I also bought 2 of Kenny Lees videos of CBG and I was playing a song by the end of my first sit down with them. Kenny is very talented and professional. I also love anything Red dog does. Start with the free stuff and move towards what else is out there. It is all good and fun...matt
