Hi folks, I've been reading through some posts and see there are a lot of ways to insulate or encase your piezo.
I was thinking of wrapping it In foam and sandwich between two bottle tops and then wrapping electrical tape around. Any thoughts on this set up?

I see some people are using hot glue directly onto thr box.....does this work in reducing feedback?

Cheers

Double sided tape, leather, hot glue, silicon, wood, duct tape.....should I go on.

I personally wouldn't wrap it in foam; however, I'm pretty sure others have done this with acceptable results. Piezos work by direct transfer of vibration. You can hot glue or silicone it directly under the bridge location on the underside of the lid, then dump more silicone or hot glue on top of that. This will indeed reduce feedback. You can also encase one in a thin wood sandwich. Or even apply it, as Randy says, with double stick tape.

stick it to  the box   on  a bed of hot glue  .. and  then  cover in  hot glue  .

  or ..

  encase  in plastic  bag   , throw  in  trash  ,,  get  a    mag  pup   ;-)

Or..

Chuck the lot into the trash bin, and buy a Swamp Witch instead!

Jeez, pick, I can't believe you missed that obvious marketing opportunity. I should get a HUGE discount on my next purchase... >:-E

;-) it's such a better     marketing ploy  when someone else says  it   for me      ;-)

hence ,,  i    baited,,  and  waited  ..

 thanx  ;-)

muh   huh  huh  :-}

Oh, I knew I was walking into it. So 40% off sounds about right...>:-E

;-)

on my two 1-stringers I sandwiched the disc in cutup pbr can. Works great so far. There is a line of mechanics tape that looks metallic like aluminum, maybe used on muffler repairs. Might try that next.
