Dylan: A Handmade Tribute

Cigar Box Nation members interpret the music of Bob Dylan onto handmade instruments.  Originally released in 2013, this tribute was arranged, compiled and produced by C# Merle with help from Silent Jim.

We have placed all 25 songs onto one .zip file for ease of downloading:

I'll probly break it down in tracks so we add parts without pverdoiing it ofcorce

great demo mr c. like they way it's coming along

What's next no distortion and reverb, I'm all for one song and homemade instruments only. But remember your only taking away from the people who have and would use other instruments and percussion.

I get it and will do a raw song as per the directions.

But is that best recording this site can DO.

if we did a recording with no processors would we like what we heard, No amp modeling would you like what you hear. I'll record with just amps and guitars I made with no effects but its not the best recording I can do. I digress, Bob showed up long after the blues the reason for this site.

i think you could fire up the pro tools and add any effects you like, the idea is to use homemade instruments rather than factory guitars. go with your own flow and create some great music

I get it Merle but its like being a handcuff monkey at a banana farm.

for clarity, the songs should be played primarily on handmade instruments. but of course you could play harmonica  etc(i'm gonna play some on mine). there's a million dylan tribute cd's out there but we can have an album with it's own unique sound. grab your favorite cbg and have some fun!

Is this an existential question, JF. If so, ma Great Grandad, Horatio Sartre MacBlues, was a bit of a philosopher .He is no longer around (he moved to Mexico with a young 18 year old beaut called Stellay, after ma Grannie died.

I've got his address, so I'll send him your question: "what of harmonicas"? He will probably send a 50 page reply, quoting Mills (and maybe Boon), and Russell and Kant. See what ya started now, JF, ma man ?!

return address black diamond bay?
