Event Description

This Saturday, Feb 2, The Greater Washington Folklore Society in Wash DC will host its annual Mid Winter Festival.  Featured performers are Shane Speal, One String Willie and the "CBG Supergroup, THE PRIMAL BROS. featuring Speal, Willie and washtub bass ace, Jim Bunch.

The sets will be recorded for iconic blues label, Adelphi Records.  Tickets and more info are at

This will be a lot of fun!  It's good to get The Primal Brothers back together again.  I have special permission from my doctor to play more than one string at a time for this gig!

Damn, wish I could go.  I grew up in Tacoma Park! (Well, Silver Springs and Langley Park area right next to it, though I did go to elementary school in TP there right off New Hampshire Ave.) 

I'll sure buy the album!
