Bonne chance,

David

Thx it's working !

And thank you to answer in french, the net translator, are not perfect, but it still verry understandable !! And with the plans, it's perfect !!

Again thx a lot !!

"thank you for answering in French" !! is better i think, anyway....................!!

Google translate version:

The collector has a red hot wire and a black ground wire if you want a single volume if you wire as the Seymour Duncan diagram remoned changed the tone pot that should work. If you are a hum check the strings are grounded (run a wire from the toggle orbridge that is in contact with the strings). If it does not stop snoring check all solder isin good condition and check the volume pot is made terre.Souvent you must rub the pot complete with sandpaper or a file to get rid of the coating for the welding stickproperly. I hope this is a measure of common sense, I used an online translator.

LOL! I had to use the French to English translator!

didi you understand ????? A translation once english to french, and after it's already a strange french translation with the translator, so put back in english!!!!! Did you have the original text???, or astrange thing ! !!!

How it started out -

The pickup has a red hot wire and a black ground wire. If you want a single volume you wire it as in the modified Seymour duncan diagram with the tone pot removed.  If you are getting a hum check the strings are grounded (run a wire from the tailpiece or bridge that is in contact with the strings). If it does not stop humming check all the solder points are good and check the volume pot is fully earthed.  Often you need to rub the pot with sandpaper or a file to get rid of the coating for the solder to stick properly.

I hope you managed to make sense of it FerneL. :O)

Yeah thanks, i just have to make an iron tailpiece !!

And a little question................: I bought the "Pre-Wired Single Coil Pickup Harness w/ Volume & Tone Pots" on Cbgitty, thinking i just have to put in, in the box!! (by the way it's cheap,  just because it's not a good product, all the jack's weld was broken, i had to weld it again !!!)

Anyway this ensemble is totaly grounded (earthed??) they say !!! But, (and i check all the solder point, even more those i replace myself!!) it still humming hard! So i think i have to grounded the strings   (taipiece, bridge...) !!

Do you have an opinion on that ?? (i hope you understood me, i try my best but i have to learn more technical words, and re-learn english conjugation !!)

It is a single coil magnetic pickup so you have to earth the strings.

Also single coil pickups will pick up electrical hum from nearby electrical appliances.

That's what i thought. But i also think that they should explain it on "CBGitty" cause  a lot of guys will buy the stuff and be in the sh... cause they realy say : " you have nothing to do " so!!!

Whatever thx again !!
