Here is a quick google sketchup of a 2 degree neck angle.

I just shear off a 1/16 of an inch or so off the tail end, and build a bridge to suit. Dryfit and repeat if necessary.

Sin Cos and Tan are far too murky in my past.

Easier & more accurate to use pythagorean mathematics champ..
we have a right angle triangle, we know the angle, 2 degrees, and we know the length of the adjacent side (length of plank behind neck joint to be trimmed call this x)
so tan 2 * x = the length of the opposite side (opposite to the 2 degree angle) measure this far down the end of the plank from the face, connect the dots, use the protractor to check your work.. ;)

Si. You can also use a band saw (which I would suggest anyway) to do this. The recess for the lid and the extra (I call the sound recess) are best done on a band saw.

NOTE: the pic above might have the angle exagerated. It is a 2 degree BUT the scale/length might be off. I did this quickly and with little measurement. DO PLEASE use a ruler and protractor.

Which end of the neck do you plane the angle into?
the body end right?

Ok, so this doesn't look as good as I thought but it should give you the idea. You could extend the reinforcement to go under the tail to add more material.
