nice job.
i think you might be introducing a bit of confusion by saying it's 12 steps from open to the twelfth fret. might be cleare to say twelve i/2 steps or semi tones.

cheers

Well, not to open a real big can of worms, but I would suggest considering two things.
Musicians are theatrical artists. Being controversal or sensational only attracts public attention. Alice Cooper and his modern day counter point Marilyn Manson are good examples. Ozzy! The Prince of Darkness? His reality show put that into clear perspective. If you want to buy into this fact, they are really the spawn of Satan, it is you who empowers them. They put out the hook...and you take it in...hook, line, and sinker!
Second, there is some truth that many musician become interested in the occult mainly due to the esoteric writing of Aleister Crowley, but then again, the Christian church is responsible for demonizing everything that they do not endorse. Many Pagan religions are not satanic at all. Wasn't Satan a fallen angel from the Christian faith. I think the Druids are slightly older.
Seeing things clearly is what is important, not burning witches at stakes just because you do not understand and are afraid.
Thank you for your response and sharing your personal thoughts.

This whole legba thing is new to me too......as far as Elton John is concernd, I have heard that he never wrote a song (and this kinda goes in the creepy realms of music folk lore here.) that was not in witch language.....I guess witches have a special way to talk....anyhow.....there are some vids on youtube you can look up that will creep you out big time, it is called "They sold their soul for rock n' roll" and it tells how a lot of bands were so far in to the ocult it wasn't even funny. In fact, some of the stuff will make your stomach turn. So much so, I don't listen to a lot of the artist I used to when I was younger just because of what I learned from thse video's. Creepy, creepy stuff.

You and I seem to have the same passion for the music Keni Lee. Thanks for the kind words, I too didn't embrace acadamia but I yearn to discover the root of things I am interested in, so I read alot. One other thing on the Legba info I forgot to ad for folks who may be wondering, the "Yoruba" are people from around the Ghana area of West Africa

Thank you for your response. I highly agree with everything you said. You too sir, judging by your reply, should be a professor too. Only if I had embraced the world of academia, I would have the paper to support it. The Legba information is new to me. Fasinating. I personally believe it was due to RJ popularity that he became the inheritor of the Crossroads ledgend. Misinformation seems to be a big part of folk tales too. It is the same story told over and over, just the name and places changes. You know like the virgin birth myth...no not him...Horus son of Isis (also said to be a virgin)...but she did have sex with the dead remains of his father Osiris...I don't know if this really counts though. LOL Enjoy
