Well Done Jim, is there no end to your talent?, 5 strings, I can't even get e tune out my 2 string Shetland Gue.

Thanks turtlehead. They've been around for a while and combine the range of a viola with that of a violin. Like I said, I usually like less strings but having more notes under your fingers is pretty cool if you can make the adjustment. One of my next builds is to turn an old 6 string into a 5 string mandocello which would pretty much be like an octave lower mandolin with an extra low C string. So , it would be C below your standard E string followed by G,D,a,e. Am I losing my mind? Probably!

Thanks Rick. I know that look! Some folks have fixed opinions of what instruments, especially violin/fiddle types, should look like and I enjoy busting those stereotypes as best I can.
