Brickhouse 2

"Sounds great.  You are right.  That is why I used it.  It is deep and the wood is tight.  I am debating whether to put sound holes in it.  It sounds great the way it is though.  I haven't made a three string yet.…"

"How does that Brick House box sound? I've got one that I've been wanting to use for a 3 string. They seem like they'd have pretty good tone qualities. Nice little geetar!"

"Thanks for your input.  I must say, stacking two boxes is a genius idea.  That must sound louder, huh?"

"My 2 cents, I think the strings thru the box lid are dampening the lid movement some and would quiet it down a bit. It may make it sound good thru an amp though. Taking the strings to the back, either thru the neck tail or to a tailpiece lets the…"

"All those bridges are different as well. Isolate some of the variables to determine which has the most effect on volume. Given the sample of 3 nice builds, there are no constants to compare."

"That's a beautiful build.  Love the inlay.  I bet that resonates well.  never thought to leave the entire box face clear of any bridge/saddle.  i will use that going forward."

Hey Mike!  Thanks for the good words on my recent uke... in regards to your question, I got those little red grommets at Michael's.  They come in a pack of 100 (if I recall), and 6 different colors, too!
