smokey amp any one?

At 4:14am on February 5, 2010, John A. Wallace said…: Shane, I'm having trouble with scale length/# of frets. My last build has a 25" scale with 19 frets. I looked at 3 different scale calculators out there and they all had the exact same distances from nut to frets. so I used that. now the sound is not right when I get to the 12th fret (next octave). I know how to measure, I teach cadd/drafting so it's not that. Why do they not sound right? My action is good, about 3/16-1/4" above box, and open tuned perfect.
What gives?
