Sure thing. Mags are no mystery at all and just as easy to hook up. A lot easier on the ears. Even the cheap strat type like you can find at CB Gitty or other vendors. Have fun with it.

Thanks for the friend add.  I like that first git you built.  Have fun with the 2nd, 3rd, 17th, 99th. . .

I would recommend skipping the piezo route and just going straight to using cheap magnetic pickups.  You will be much more pleased with the sound for about the same amount of effort.  Speaking from my experience, anyway.
