Good score. I have been breaking ear drums with this one for about 25 years, great practice amp, has endured a lot .

Nice amp, and the popping, my 30a Marshal does it also, has since I've owned for 12 yrs. I've seen more amps do it than not, some are supposed to be designed not to, but I don't think it's of any concern, I've seen threads on other music sites where some get their panties in a bunch and say take the amp back, then I've heard some say no big deal, just something to do with the gain and capacitors...solid state stuff.

New amp after mine died the death of a thousand crackles. May it rest in landfill!
