Yep, good point, that is a weak spot. I will beef up the area where the box meets the neck on future ones for sure.

*not intended as any sort of personal criticism....

I strongly recommend a bit more heel in future than what you've done here Bruce mate, if you look you can see the weak point, right at the join there. If you wanna go as deep as you have (and I usually do) you need more offset there. I only say this cos I've made one that broke before :(

I tried that also. Not as agressive as yours.... I only set it back 3/8 , it looks like your about 3/4. At 3/8 it worked to set the neck on a slight angle and still left room for clearance from the top soundboard. I played with the bridge height to lower the action. Yours will be easier to do this. I'll be watching your build, I think it's a good way to go. IMMHO
