Best to call me Mark as that's my name - Junk Box Instruments is the name of some web pages I run and I switched to using it as a name on here becausde there was already a Mark C.

As for Seasick Steve's stringing arrangement, I saw a post on the forum at his website which said he uses an E string in the A position, a D in the G position and a G in the B position, which is also what Wikipedia says (although it gives no source). By my reckoning that means he's tuning up to get fairly heavy string tension (up 3 semitones from E to G, up 5 semitones from D to G and up 4 semitones from G to B).

Is it OK to call you junk? yes I don't know what happened to the photo maybe the flash or something. Would you leave on the first (high E) 3rd and fifth string or the other way, or maybe 3 strings together. Either way they will never be evenly spaced/centred on the neck. I suppose it depend on if you want to slide up one string and that would maybes be be easier if it was at the edge of the neck? Seasick Steve? well, with the current virus going round I thought I'd call myself Pigsick Pete. Oh and I've got an old incontinent dog so how about dogs### Dave. Victor vomit? oh I'd better stop before I hit the turnaround and repeat myself, lol

The guitar would be great for doing Seasick Steve impersonations - just take off three strings and tune to G-G-B. Is there something weird going on with the picture or did something unfortunate happen to the body near the pickup switch?

Stoning the frets is usually done with a flat stone or file, irrespective of the curve on the 'board.

Oh and the neck is not flat, the neck/frets are radiused, so stoning the frets may be out unless I get a shaped stone?
