Super Easy 3-String Riff

I was messing around with my Hobo Fiddle and came up with this cool little riff accidentally. You could play this on any instrument tuned in the 1-5-1 tuning (dulcimer, CBG, etc) regardless of key. It sounds complex but its really simple.

Comment by Dave Lynas on January 7, 2020 at 11:26pm: I love the riff Pooorness. I call it playing the Box as it is shaped like a square box. I use it all the time for G major tunes. Move it up to the fifth fret and 3rd fret and it becomes Gm. Then stretch it to 2 5 and it becomes the blues. I often just hit the hi and low G strings without the middle D. I always look for patterns on the fretboard. Squares, triangles and slanted lines. It’s a visual approach.
