Hi:

In looking around for suitable bridge/nut material, I've found a couple of antique keys from my grandmother's house. They're the old-fashioned kind with long smooth barrels. I've seen a couple of CBG builds with smooth bridges (mostly bar stock); is there a problem with the strings moving out of place? Can i leave the key smooth, or should I cut grooves for the strings?

Also, should I do the same thing if I use bolts for the nut and bridge?

Thanks,

Vince

Try it without. If the strings flop around, add some grooves.

Can't get any simpler than that! I'll give it a shot, thanks!
