12 different 0.047uF caps - my ears don't hear much difference at all. My picking and fretting hand have much greater effect. what do you hear?

It’s good to know my ears aren’t failing the “Can you hear the difference?” test! I was looking forward to hearing you demo all those capacitors, but was surprised that the differences, if any, are barely detectable. You are the “Myth Buster” Uncle Toad! I know what not to do now; thanks.

It's always fun to do these kinds of experiments. I'm hearing very little (if any) difference between them. With the tone rolled off you can notice a little bit more difference but it's still really subtle. I like how some folks say they only use a certain type of tone cap because they can "hear" the difference but yet I'm guessing they couldn't watch this vid and pick out their "favorite" cap. :-)

here's the video to go with the photos.  I used a guitar with a complete tone bypass setting, and I built an external box with 12 capacitors of different types. details in the photo a few days ago and at the end of the video.  I didn't have the bumblebees, but I had a bunch of others. My ears hear no difference between the different caps.  My left hand fretting pressure and right hand picking have a much more profound effect.  This video is a boring 11 minutes but I spent hours trying all kinds of stuff to elicit a difference.  This myth has been busted !

Cheers to all.
