do I use electric, acoustic? or do those sizes indicate which they are? I am guitar illiterate, sorry

Paul,

Just purchase a set of Lt Acoustic strings from anywhere and use the A, D, G, and B strings from the set.

There is no dead set rule, but I would recommend using the A,D, and G strings from a light acoustic string set. Tune to an open G or open A chord. This generally a good way to go.
