Found this can recently. The in-laws' neighbor had put it out at the street for junk pickup. Not sure what kind of "oil" was in it, or if it was even the original oil...it was about a pint of clear, thick fluid. Anyhow, it's drying after being washed out. Now...what to build, what to build.

I guess this also counts as a "what's on your workbench" post, ha. So there's this can, some bearings soaking in alcohol after being "rescued" by my youngest from some old rollerblades (to be made into a spinner, he says). Two paint can lids for this month's contest build(s), a heart-shaped tin for a uke, Spam can for a diddly bow, various bottle caps for pot knobs, etc. Oh, and the Christmas tin below the bench for another build, and a canvas bag atop that full of old church keys for string retainers or whatever.

What I really need is a workbench to build things on while this one holds the materials. LOL.

R&O stands for "rust and oxidation." It was and is a clear, rust-and-oxidation inhibiting oil used for turbines, hydraulics, and general lubrication.

Thanks, Ron. Makes me wonder why the guy had a 5 gal can of that stuff (he owned a liquor store.)

Yes your pic needs to be posted on the Workbench thread. Haha

Would make a nice washtub style bass. However, those cans can be worth some dollars. Might want to check into that first.
