I am 590 feet from an AM transmitting tower. We had to take out our chain link fence because it caused scratching noises on any audio device in the house if we opened/closed the gate. I really hope this doesn't mean I need to go to a park to play.

I've built a guitar without grounding the strings before. It still sounds ok. After it was built it did not have any reasonable grounding places that would not be a bit ugly or obvious. So before I decided to start chopping, I plugged it in, and it sounded good enough for me.

I'm not sure how it would sound plugged into a clubs amp system, but for me through my little 20w amp it's OK.

Thing about it though is that even if the strings pick it up they arnt connected to anything to pass it on.
The circuit might pick it up and have no grounding, ie the players fingers, but I just might be lucky.

Anyway, it's good enough for me.
Made me double think future builds though.

Yeah I know. I wouldn't pass this guitar on. 

It works good enough for me. That's all I need from this one.

Thing about the design was that everything was either plastic, wood or too small to try and feed a wire to the strings. 

So it got left as is. Made me think more about design. Lessons learned and all that.
